The Body of Christ

Course Description

This course presents the New Testament teaching concerning the Church, whose constituents were purchased by the shed blood of Jesus Christ and are sealed as God’s unique possession by the Holy Spirit. It explores the Church’s origin, nature, mission, and ultimate destiny.

Read selected excerpts from texts provided. The student will require at least 30 minutes to 1 hour each week to complete each weekly assignment. The final exam is a 5-7 page paper on the black church in the future of the black community based on our discussions about the biblical definition of the church.
